The Gap No Certification Fills

A certificate proves you passed a test.
It does not prove you can do the job.

Every hiring manager in delivery knows the difference between someone who memorised the framework and someone who has stood in the room when the Product Owner vanished, the sponsor misquoted the velocity, and a compliance requirement landed two days before sprint close.

Until now, the only way to learn that was to live it — badly, in your first role, in front of the people deciding whether to keep you. AgileLite is where you live it first, safely, and come out the other side with proof.

No certificate issued Intentionally FTSE 250 standard teardown
What the market now demands
→
Portfolio over credentialHiring managers increasingly ask candidates to critique the framework they are certified in. A certificate is the door. Evidence of competence is what keeps you in the room.
→
AI-augmented delivery literacyIn 2026, every delivery team is navigating AI's impact on velocity, backlog quality and team dynamics. Practitioners who cannot speak to this are already behind.
→
Hybrid governance fluency95% of organisations in 2025 said Agile is critical to their operations — but most still run governance in waterfall. The practitioner who can operate in both simultaneously is the one who gets hired.
The situations waiting for you

Six corporate realities no exam has ever asked you about.

Hover each card to see the AgileLite response.

Complication 01
The absent Product Owner
She has written no acceptance criteria for the sprint starting Monday. She is in a commercial bid meeting. You have a planning session in two hours.
AgileLite response
Session 03 builds your Definition of Ready to a standard that covers this contingency. Session 05 gives you the stakeholder escalation structure that pulls a distracted PO back into the room — without burning the relationship.
Complication 02
The retitled project manager
His title says Scrum Master. He runs sprint planning as a requirements gathering meeting and calls the daily standup the daily status call.
AgileLite response
You inhabit Marcus Webb's role in Session 02. You feel exactly what he is optimising for. Session 05 gives you the peer influence framework for changing ceremonies without triggering a territorial response.
Complication 03
The Gantt-first PMO
She needs every sprint outcome mapped to a Gantt milestone baseline. She has never used Jira and considers velocity a made-up metric.
AgileLite response
Session 07 is entirely this. You build the dual reporting pack — the same sprint period in Agile terms for the team and governance terms for the PMO. Same data. Two documents. Both accurate. Diane Chen gets her Gantt. The team keeps their sprint.
Complication 04
The mid-sprint crisis
A contractor handed in his notice three weeks ago. Nobody told you. He takes 40% of the API integration knowledge with him in two weeks.
AgileLite response
This exact scenario arrives as an unannounced complication during Session 04. Your live RAID log already has the risk flagged — because Session 04 taught you to flag it before it became a crisis. This is the difference between a practitioner and a passenger.
Complication 05
The regulatory surprise
A compliance requirement just appeared. It is urgent, real, and not in the backlog. The CAB process takes five business days. Sprint ends Friday.
AgileLite response
Session 07 lives inside this scenario permanently. Operating Agile delivery inside waterfall governance is the session's entire premise. You leave knowing exactly how to honour both systems without betraying either one.
Complication 06 — New 2026
The AI technical debt bomb
The development team used an AI code generation tool across the last three sprints. The output passed review. The velocity looked exceptional. Then QA found it.
AgileLite response
Session 06 builds the metrics literacy to detect velocity anomalies before they become crises. The 2026 AI complication — undisclosed AI-generated technical debt — is the unannounced event of Session 06. Every practitioner graduating AgileLite in 2026 has lived through this.

The Practitioner Behind the Programme

You deserve to know exactly who is in the room with you.

Before you part with £1,800, you should know who built this, why they built it, and what gives them the standing to tell you your artefact would not pass a FTSE 250 standard.

FA
Fred Abeka
Lead Practitioner & Programme Director · AgileLite Ltd
Agile Delivery AI Automation Commercial Operations East London

AgileLite was not built by someone who teaches Agile and has never worked inside a dysfunctional PMO. It was built by someone who has operated simultaneously as a commercial brokerage director, an AI automation consultant and a training programme architect — managing real subcontractors, real clients and real delivery governance across three organisations at the same time.

The six Meridian PLC complications are not invented. The absent Product Owner, the retitled project manager, the Gantt-first PMO, the undisclosed contractor resignation, the mid-sprint regulatory surprise and the AI technical debt bomb — these are drawn directly from the delivery environments that shaped this programme. Every unannounced complication in the Lab is something that has actually happened, to a real team, with real consequences.

The no-certificate position is not marketing. It is a conviction held by someone who has interviewed candidates with impressive credentials and watched them unable to answer a question about what they would do when the product owner goes dark two days before sprint planning. The portfolio of eight artefacts is the answer to that interview question — built under pressure, in real tools, against a real standard.

Fred also leads EliteOps AI — an AI automation consultancy — which is why the 2026 AI complication added to Session 06 is not a theoretical addition to the curriculum. It is drawn from the practical experience of watching delivery teams discover, usually too late, that AI-generated code passes review and fails in production.

Curriculum Reviewer — Independent Assessment
"The Meridian PLC scenario architecture is the most sophisticated simulation-based Agile training structure I have reviewed from an independent UK provider. The six character profiles are recognisable to anyone who has worked in corporate delivery. The artefact standards — particularly the dual reporting pack and the RAID log with live escalation notes — are at the level I would expect from a senior delivery manager applying for a FTSE 250 role. This is not a certification prep course. It is something materially different."
— Senior Delivery Manager, 14 years in FTSE 250 programme delivery · Curriculum reviewed July 2026
For L&D Leads and Team Managers
Upskilling a delivery team, not just an individual?
AgileLite can be delivered in-house for delivery teams of up to 10 practitioners. Group pricing, bespoke Meridian PLC brief adapted to your organisation's actual governance structure, and a corporate candidate brief for each participant at the end. One cohort. Your entire team. One conversation to explore it.

What AgileLite Is

A practitioner lab. Not another course.

Eight live sessions. Ten learners maximum. One fictional corporate organisation so real it will make you uncomfortable. You are not a student in this room. You are a practitioner from minute one.

01
📋
The case file method
Every session opens mid-crisis. No slides. No agenda. You receive a one-page Meridian PLC briefing document five minutes before the session and walk in already thinking. This is how corporate delivery actually begins.
02
🔄
Rotating corporate roles
You play every side of the table. Delivery manager, Product Owner, resistant stakeholder, passive PMO. By session eight you have felt what it is like to be every person in the most difficult conversations your career will produce.
03
🛠️
Live artefact production
You build, not fill in worksheets. Every session produces a real document in a real tool under session pressure. These become your portfolio of proof — not evidence that you attended a course, but evidence that you can do the work.
04
⚡
The unannounced complication
At the 30-minute mark of every workshop, something changes. A stakeholder escalation. A team resignation. A scope grenade. An AI-generated technical debt discovery. No warning. Every time. This is the corporate world arriving uninvited — exactly as it does in real delivery.
05
🎯
Honest teardown
One standard: would this pass? Your artefacts are reviewed against one question — would a senior delivery manager at a FTSE 250 firm accept this as evidence of competence? If not, you will be told precisely why, and what to do about it.
06
🔗
30-day alumni access
After the programme closes, 30 days of direct practitioner access for the real problems your first corporate role will surface in weeks two and three. This is the support gap every other programme leaves open.
Your Training Ground

Meridian PLC — the organisation you will know better than your own.

Every session takes place inside a single fictional organisation. By session eight you will know it better than some organisations you have actually worked in. These are the people you will need to manage, influence and occasionally survive.

Programme Sponsor
Richard Beaumont
Signed off on Agile because a consultant told him to. Has never attended a sprint review. Communicates exclusively via PA-forwarded emails. Not hostile. Just absent in the worst possible way.
"I thought Agile was supposed to be flexible?"
Product Owner
Priya Sharma
Head of Digital Operations. Extremely intelligent and chronically overcommitted across four workstreams. Backlog has 340 items. No acceptance criteria written below three words on any of them. She means well. She is never available.
Acceptance criteria: "Make it work."
Scrum Master (on paper)
Marcus Webb
Former project manager retitled as a compromise when the PMO refused to eliminate his role. Runs sprint planning as a requirements gathering meeting. Calls the daily standup the daily status call.
"The status call is at nine. Don't be late."
PMO Director
Diane Chen
Insists all programme spend be tracked against a Gantt baseline. Requires a change request for any scope alteration. Has never used Jira. Considers velocity a made-up metric. Not the villain. Just protecting what has always worked.
"I'll need that mapped to the baseline by Friday."
The Development Team
Patrick, Aisha, Jamie, Yemi & Leon
Five developers. Two contractors. Leon is shared with another project. Patrick has handed in his notice but hasn't told anyone yet. The team is competent. The environment is not. And from Session 06 — they have been using an AI code generation tool without disclosure.
Patrick's last day is in eleven working days.
Agile Delivery Manager — You
Grace Okoro
Newly hired. Day one. Stepping into Project Apex with a certification, good intentions, and no map. Nothing in the building is as described in the job advert. This is the avatar every AgileLite learner inhabits across all eight sessions.
Your certification got you this far. Now what?
The Programme

Eight sessions. Chronological order. No fluff.

The sequence mirrors the actual lifecycle of a corporate Agile programme from first week to close-out. Every session builds on the last. Every session produces something real.

01
Phase 1 — Foundation
The corporate reality check
Why Agile fails in most corporate environments. The four structural dysfunctions. Reading the room before you speak. Your first Meridian briefing document.
02
Phase 1 — Foundation
Delivery anatomy, end to end
The full lifecycle in chronological order. What documentation should exist at each phase, in what order, and why. The Meridian programme map established.
03
Phase 2 — Documentation
Documentation that earns its place
Definition of Ready, Definition of Done, acceptance criteria, backlog architecture. Documents that serve delivery, not the audit trail.
04
Phase 2 — Risk
Detecting risk before it kills you
RAID logs as early warning systems. Lead versus lag indicators. The three-sentence escalation structure that lands with senior stakeholders.
05
Phase 3 — Influence
Stakeholder management without the spin
Power and interest dynamics. Managing upward without losing credibility. Handling sprint review pushback. The disengaged sponsor — and what to do about Richard Beaumont.
06
Phase 3 — Metrics
Metrics that reveal, not deceive
Velocity anti-patterns. Cycle time. Team health. Using data to hold the difficult conversations — including the 2026 AI technical debt discovery that arrives at the 30-minute mark.
07
Phase 4 — Governance
Operating in a bipolar world
Agile delivery inside waterfall governance. Change Advisory Boards. Dual reporting. The dual reporting pack: one sprint period, two completely different documents. Both accurate.
08
Phase 4 — Close-out
The simulation
Full end-to-end programme simulation under live pressure. Close-out report. Formal retrospective. Portfolio completion. Both facilitators in character throughout.
The Complete Practitioner Arsenal

Everything in the cohort. Line by line. Nothing held back.

Most programmes give you slides and a certificate. Here is the full inventory of what a single AgileLite seat actually puts in your hands — the live lab, both simulators, the entire software suite, and the portfolio.

⚡
The Sprint Simulator — AI multi-persona engine
A live AI-powered simulation where four distinct personas — a scope-creeping Product Owner, an over-optimistic lead developer, an uninformed senior VP, and an uncompromising QA lead — challenge you across seven ceremonies. Every response you give is scored live across six competency dimensions.
  • Four AI personas, each with a real agenda
  • Seven ceremonies from planning to retrospective
  • Live scoring across six competency dimensions
  • A personalised AI coaching report every session
  • Unlimited replays — practise until it is instinct
  • Available 24/7, not just in live sessions
£1,200 value
🛩️
SprintPilot — the holistic delivery simulator
Where the Sprint Simulator drills the individual ceremony, SprintPilot zooms out to the entire delivery lifecycle. You steer a complete programme end to end — planning, governance, stakeholder management, risk, and close-out — making the trade-off decisions a real delivery manager makes.
  • End-to-end programme simulation, not a single sprint
  • Strategic trade-off decisions under real constraints
  • Governance, RAID, and stakeholder threads combined
  • Complements the Sprint Simulator's ceremony focus
  • Builds the helicopter view hiring managers test for
  • Yours to keep and re-fly after the programme closes
£600 value
📚
The AgileLite Learning Platform
The complete learning environment that houses everything — session briefings, the Meridian case files, artefact templates, both simulators, your progress data and your growing portfolio, all in one place. Not a folder of PDFs. A live platform you return to.
  • Every session brief and case file in one hub
  • All artefact templates ready to build in
  • Both simulators embedded and launch-ready
  • Your portfolio assembles itself as you build
  • Cohort Slack, Notion and Miro all linked
  • Retained access after the programme closes
£300 value
🎓
Skills Assessment AI — your baseline diagnostic
Before your first session you complete an adaptive 24-question diagnostic across eight Agile competency dimensions. At the end of the programme, you retake it. The before-and-after is documented proof of exactly how far you have come — evidence you show employers.
  • Adaptive questioning across eight dimensions
  • A personalised learning path built for your gaps
  • Track recommendation — Scrum Master or Product Owner
  • Before-and-after documented proof of growth
  • Feeds directly into both simulators
  • Documented evidence to show employers
£300 value
📈
Cohort Progress Tracker — live readiness scoring
Every session, every simulator run, every artefact feeds a live readiness score across six competency dimensions. You see your own trajectory climb toward the 90% placement-ready threshold, with AI coaching nudges telling you exactly what to work on next.
  • Live readiness scoring across six dimensions
  • Your trajectory toward the 90% placement threshold
  • AI coaching nudges on what to improve next

💼 £1,500 value — Corporate Placement Agent
The programme that pays you back. We place you, not just teach you.

When you hit placement readiness, the system generates a corporate-ready candidate brief built from your real portfolio and progress data, and matches you to hiring partners actively looking for delivery talent. Most programmes end at a certificate and wish you luck. This one ends with your name in front of employers, with the evidence to back it up.

2026 Addition — AI-Augmented Delivery
The AI complication every 2026 practitioner needs to have survived.
In 2026, every delivery team is navigating AI's impact on velocity, backlog quality and team dynamics. AgileLite is the only practitioner programme in the UK that builds an AI-specific unannounced complication into its curriculum — the AI technical debt discovery of Session 06. Graduates of the 2026 cohort have already lived through the scenario that most practitioners will encounter for the first time in a real programme, with real consequences. Being prepared is the competitive edge.
AI-augmented delivery literacy
What You Build and Keep

A portfolio no certificate can replace.

By session eight you will have built and own eight real artefacts — documents produced under pressure, in real tools, to the standard a senior delivery manager at a FTSE 250 firm would accept. You do not walk into your next interview holding a certificate. You walk in and put these on the table.

01
The Meridian Delivery Playbook
A complete end-to-end Agile delivery playbook for a corporate programme, built section by section across sessions one to seven. The document a hiring manager asks to see.
02
Definition of Ready & Definition of Done
Written to satisfy a development team and a resistant PMO simultaneously. Not a template — a real, defensible document that reflects the actual tensions of Meridian PLC.
03
A live RAID log with escalation notes
Maintained through real programme risk events, including entries written under the pressure of a mid-exercise complication — including Patrick's undisclosed notice and the AI technical debt discovery.
04
A full stakeholder communication plan
Covering all six Meridian characters — Richard, Priya, Marcus, Diane and the development team — with cadence, channel, message strategy and escalation triggers for each.
05
A delivery health dashboard
Velocity trend, cycle time analysis, team health scores and a probabilistic delivery forecast — built from real programme data and including the AI-generated velocity anomaly identification from Session 06.
06
The dual reporting pack
The same sprint period reported in Agile terms for the delivery team and in governance terms for the PMO. Same data. Two completely different documents. Both accurate. This is Session 07's signature artefact.
07
Programme close-out report & retrospective
Structured as a formal SteerCo document and as a handover brief for an incoming delivery manager. Both versions. Built under live simulation pressure in Session 08.
08
Grace Okoro's learning log
Your personal reflection on what you would do differently across the programme. In practice, a documented record of your eight-session journey that belongs entirely to you and tells your growth story to any employer who asks.
The Honest Value Stack

What it costs. What it actually includes.

Price each piece the way the market prices it. A single corporate delivery coaching engagement runs into thousands. A recruitment placement fee alone is worth more than this entire programme. Here is the honest tally.

Growth & Skills Levy · Apprenticeship Funding · UK Employers

Your Levy is expiring.
Let's put it to work.

Every year, thousands of levy-paying employers in England watch their unspent apprenticeship funding expire — returned to HMRC unused. AgileLite delivers government-funded Agile delivery training that converts your expiring levy into a permanent uplift in your team's capability.

How the Growth & Skills Levy works
Payrolls above £3m pay 0.5% of their annual wage bill into a ring-fenced HMRC account each month.
Funds expire after 24 months if unspent — returned to HMRC with no refund and no extension.
Approved training providers draw from your account directly. Zero invoices. Zero P&L impact.
AgileLite is delivered as part of a DfE-approved apprenticeship standard — eligible for direct levy spend.

Employer Programmes

Upskilling one person or an entire delivery team — all levy-funded.

AgileLite works for individual practitioners sponsored by their employer, and for L&D leads running team-wide capability programmes. Every route uses levy funding. None of them hit your P&L.

Individual Sponsorship
Sponsor an employee through the next cohort
Ideal for an employee who holds an Agile certification but has not had the opportunity to apply it in a structured corporate delivery environment. Your levy pays. They build the portfolio. You retain the capability.

Non-Levy Employers
Payroll below £3m? Government co-investment applies.

The APAR Model

How Route 3 subcontracting works in practice.

APAR (the Apprenticeship and Provider Register) allows registered providers to subcontract delivery to a specialist partner. You hold the DfE contract and the employer relationship. We deliver the training. Everyone wins — including the learner.

Route 1 — Main Provider
You deliver everything
You hold the DfE contract, recruit learners, deliver training, conduct EPA, and manage employer relationships. Full control. Full revenue. Full delivery burden. Requires ESFA registration and OFSTED readiness.
Route 2 — Employer Provider
You train your own staff only
Only available to employers delivering exclusively for their own workforce. Does not apply to commercial training relationships. Not relevant to AgileLite's employer pipeline.
Route 3 — Subcontractor (AgileLite)
We deliver. You invoice.
You hold the contract. AgileLite is named on your subcontractor register. We deliver all eight sessions, both simulators, and all learner artefact production. You manage DfE reporting and EPA. Revenue splits at 50–60% to provider.
